I think of tone as a recipe,there are often many ingredients. Some seem smaller, less significant then the others
when nothing could be further from the truth. Many players feel that way about their strings, what a key mistake.I see the
strings as the primary "life support" system for every guitars tone.Does it NOT make sense that a strings performance, more
importantly the lack of performance is the FIRST place that tone can be destroyed? BEFORE it has a chance to vibrate
and resonate through the body and neck. BEFORE it has the chance to be "recognized" by the pickups, using electrics as an
example.
Dean Farley, the father of Snake Oil Strings, wrote articles about this exact subject over 20 years ago.
He knew THEN, that strings, in their infancy, while they were still just molecules before they lined up to become "wire"
could be carefully sourced,designed and when properly manufactured would yield tone VERY unique and "musical". He has succeeded
with his line of strings. I know this because I also knew something was "not right" with many of todays major string brands,
I could feel it and hear it BUT I didnt realize just how "bad" the problem was UNTIL I played my first set of Snake Oils.
A whole different world of tone was opened up to me and Snake Oil strings are now just as important as every other link in
the "chain" that is "MY" tone . They are without a doubt the most musical string I have EVER played.Consistantly pack after
pack, from one guitar to the next.ALL of my guitars have benifitted from the tonal characteristics that Both formulas have
to offer. In many of my guitars the tone change was just as dramatic as finding a NOS Mullard for V-1 of my Marshalls. I would
have to say , pretty damn impressive for "just" a set of strings. The return rate of my customers who are now loyal Snake
Oil Players proves that I am "right". MOST importantly it proves Dean Farley was RIGHT from day one and lucky for us players,
he is still right......DAMN RIGHT...................Give them a try , hear/feel the difference for yourselves because its
YOUR tone and if I am as right in my review as many have already found out, your tone will never be the same and you will
be back for more.........................John

| The "core" tone begins where it always has..strings!!!! |
I have become an authorized dealer for Snake Oil Brand Strings (SOB).This line of strings
are without a doubt the finest sounding and have the sweetest feel of any string I have ever used.As if that isn't enough,
they will also hold their tone for twice as long as most of the major brands. Give a set a try and see if you agree,
my bet is you wont switch back to your old brand.
